We owe so much to President Trump. I still say one of the most important things he did was open America’s eyes to how evil, biased, and phony our media is. Prior to this, most Americans believed we had mostly “fair” media. But after we saw how unhinged and whacko, the media behaved when Trump splashed on the scene, we could see something was very, very wrong.
A lot of people wonder who is running the White House, right?
Well, did you ever think to wonder, who’s running the media?
Well, if you ask tech legend Kom Dotcom, he’d tell you it’s the CIA, and he wouldn’t be the only one who feels that way, actually.
Cato.org reported on the phenomena of CIA-controlled media:
An especially dangerous threat to liberty occurs when members of the press collude with government agencies instead of monitoring and exposing the abuses of those agencies. Unfortunately, collusion is an all‐too‐common pattern in press coverage of the national security state’s activities. The American people then receive official propaganda disguised as honest reporting and analysis.
The degree of collaboration frequently has reached stunning levels. During the early decades of the Cold War, some journalists even became outright CIA assets. Washington Post reporter Carl Bernstein’s January 1977, 25,000-word article in Rolling Stone was an extraordinarily detailed account of cooperation between the CIA and members of the press, and it provided key insights into that relationship. In some cases, the “journalists” were actually full‐time CIA employees masquerading as members of the Fourth Estate, but Bernstein also confirmed that some 400 bona fide American journalists had secretly carried out assignments for the ClA during the previous 25 years. He noted that “journalists provided a full range of clandestine services — from simple intelligence gathering to serving as go‐betweens with spies in Communist countries. Reporters shared their notebooks with the CIA. Editors shared their staffs.”
A December 26, 1977, investigative report in the New York Times described the scope of the CIA’s global campaign to influence opinion through media manipulation. “In its persistent efforts to shape world opinion, the C.I.A. has been able to call upon” an extensive network “of newspapers, news services, magazines, publishing houses, broadcasting stations and other entities over which it has at various limes had some control. A decade ago, when the agency’s communications empire was at its peak, [it] embraced more than 500 news and public information organizations and individuals. According to one CIA official, they ranged in importance ‘from Radio Free Europe to a third‐string guy in Quito who could get something in the local paper.’” The CIA funded those foreign “journalistic assets” generously.
So, Kim Dotcom may be onto something with this meme he shared calling out the “CIA media.” It’s gone viral because this is how many in America feel. The distrust and loathing for our media are palpable.

Here’s an up-close look at the meme:
This is really scary stuff, but the good news is that Americans recognize our media for what it is – a gigantic propaganda machine. The Dispatch reported back in 2020 on a Gallup poll that really put into perspective how the media fell from grace.
If you’ve paid any attention to the news, particularly cable news, over the last couple of months since George Floyd’s killing by police in Minneapolis, you might think “defunding” or “abolishing” the police is a widely held and even somewhat mainstream desire.
Gallup suggests this is untrue. The vast majority of Americans, of all races and ethnicities, don’t want the police to leave their communities.
Respondents were asked: “Would you rather the police spend more time, the same amount of time or less time as they currently spend in your area?” Sixty-one percent of black respondents said they wanted the same amount of time; 20 percent said more. Hispanics had similar numbers (59 percent same, 24 percent more).
Has anything close to that reality been reflected in the “national conversation” about race and policing?
How many softball interviews did CNN or MSNBC conduct with activists claiming to speak for “communities of color” in which “defunding the police” was not only taken seriously but sympathetically?
My point isn’t that all is great with policing in America. But “defund the police” or “abolish the police” (slogans that got wide traction in the elite media for much of the summer, buoyed by polished academics and activists with ready-made talking points) was always an absurd idea, politically and practically—politically because even the most victimized populations don’t want to get rid of the police, and practically because a police-free modern society is simply unworkable. (Just ask the former denizens of that “autonomous zone” in Seattle.)
The Gallup/Knight study found that nearly 8 in 10 Americans think the media is trying to convince people “to adopt a certain opinion.” Well, for much of this year, skepticism toward “defund the police” rhetoric has been quickly dismissed as just another manifestation of white privilege. Except, as the Gallup poll suggests, black people don’t view police the same way the activists and journalists who dominate the debate do.
But don’t be fooled into thinking the media has no “pull” left.
They do.
Just look what they did with COVID fear-mongering. They turned a huge swath of this country into blithering, trembling idiots.
