Chuck Schumer Goes RINO Hunting In The Senate

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer needs four good RINOs. “I hope, pray, and believe there’s a decent chance that four Republicans will join us.” Schumer told ABC.

Democrats are counting on “Republican In Name Only” sleeper cells in the Senate to keep their kangaroo court of an impeachment alive.

In order to remove President Donald Trump from his duly elected office, at least 20 Republicans have to stab the president in the back. Right now, that doesn’t look promising so the Democrats are holding their articles of impeachment hostage in the House.

In order to justify the foot-dragging, Democrats have even suggested that there may be more articles to add. The lawyer representing the house recently told a federal appeals court judge, “the House Judiciary Committee has not finished its work on impeachment” and a third article may be forthcoming.

If they can’t nail down 67 votes in the senate outright, they may be able to win a few battles on the way. That may even give them a chance at winning the war.

As CNN reports, four so-called “moderate” Republican Senators can make a huge difference. “At least 20 Republicans would have to break with Trump to provide the 67 votes needed to remove him from office, but if enough peel off they could provide Democrats with the 51 votes needed for key wins.”

Four traitors would allow Democrats to “compel witnesses, demand documents and push through other procedural motions.” So far, the only Republican Senators who seem interested in the 30 pieces of silver are Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

Even though the Senate is supposed to have full control of the trial, House leadership is trying to force the Senate to do things their way.

Right now, the spotlight is on the question of witnesses. Democrats insist that the witnesses who they vetted in secret, before they put on questionable public testimony, should be allowed a say in the trial. Republicans haven’t ruled witnesses out, but prefer to wait until opening statements are presented to make that decision.

Most Americans believe that Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s refusal to transmit the articles proves that the Democrats know their case is too weak to bring a conviction. With nothing but hearsay from career Democrat bureaucrats to go on, conservatives see this as an attempt to keep President Trump from doing the job he was elected to do. Now, the Democrats are trying to rig the Trial in the Senate.
