Four Marines reunite to recreate photo after 50 years, after not seeing each other for five decades!
This hasn’t happened for the longest time.
Four Marines reunited on Cinnamon Beach in Palm Coast, Florida, on Saturday to retake a photo they first staged 50 years ago at Camp Pendleton in San Diego.
Bob Falk, 71, Dennis Puleo, 69, Tom Hanks, 69, and Bob DeVenezia, 70, hadn’t seen each other in five decades, since fighting in the Vietnam War, before their weekend reunion.
“We just broke up,” DeVenezia told the Naples Daily News.
“Life is funny like that. I didn’t keep in touch with any of them. There was something about the Vietnam War and the negativity we kept hearing.”
On Saturday, they finally came back together, posing on the beach with another yellow surfboard.
Falk even brought back his blue-and-white striped polo shirt.
“We all know that we’ve been given a gift of 50 years,” Puleo told the newspaper.
