He Tried Kidnapping A Ten Year Old Girl, Then Her Little Friend Came Out…

Dogs have always had the reputation as being “man’s best friend”. It can be a special thing when it is all said and done. Dogs are smart, loving, attentive, protective, and extremely loyal to the end.

This was the case for one dog from Woodbridge, Virginia, who protected and saved a 10-year-old girl from being the victim of a scary kidnapping in broad daylight.

According to the authorities, the man had every intention of kidnapping the little girl. Luckily, the girl’s dog loyally defended his owner with fierceness and bravery.

The incident occurred when a 10-year-old was walking her dog alone on a street in her town. Suddenly, a large man appeared by their side. It became apparent that he wanted to take the young girl with him as he reached out to grab her by the arm. Fortunately, the young girl had her loyal companion by her side.

The dog, which was not named, reacted quickly, grabbing the assailant by his arm and biting him. This must have scared the man, as he quickly let go of the girl before running away. Thanks to the quick action of her dog, the young girl was saved from a potentially fatal fate.

The man was described as being about 145 pounds and standing between five foot three inches to five foot six inches tall. He was identified as being in his early twenties with a thin build and short dark hair. He wore a goatee on his face and was last seen in a white striped shirt and light-colored pants. Witnesses described him as a light-skinned black man or of Latino heritage.

The girl ran back home with her dog and told her parents what had happened. They quickly contacted the Prince William County Police Department.

A search of the area was conducted, but unfortunately, the suspect had escaped. Still, it left the community wary that there was a child abductor on the loose.

The Prince William County Police Department wrote in a statement:

“At approximately 3:50 pm, the victim, a 10-year-old girl, was reportedly walking her dog in the 1800 block of Heather Glenn Ct in Woodbridge when an unknown man approached her and grabbed her arm. During the encounter, the victim’s dog bit the suspect who then released her and fled on foot.”
