Snorkeling is an activity that allows people to glimpse the underwater world, whether it’s an ocean or a river.

Snorkeling involves swimming underwater with a clear plastic mask and a tube to breathe through. This piece of equipment is known as a snorkel. You can actually watch the marine life by simply floating face-down on the surface.
This sport is completely safe and only for some thrilling underwater fun…And through this, you might find something hidden treasures other than small and beautiful fishes.
From submerged cellphones, watches to hair ties and jewelries, you are bound to be intrigued by what’s to come.
However, a disturbing incident just happened, when Martin Sholl noticed something incredibly unusual and creepy while snorkeling in the Colorado River close to the Arizona-California border. He spotted two skeletons tied to lawn chairs on the bottom of the Colorado River!
As a result of a snorkeler reporting spotting human remains in the Colorado River near Parker, Arizona, and the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office was called.
The Buckskin Fire Department dispatched a diver to the location of the alleged discovery; however, the diver’s footage reveals two phony corpses fastened to lawn chairs.
The diver claimed that the sight resembled a tea party because the skeletons had sunk to the bottom of the river.
Deep in the green water, two fake skeletons recline on lawn chairs. Both wear sunglasses, and one sports a wig of bushy synthetic hair, while one is holding a sign that included the words “Bernie” and “dream in the river,” although the entire sign is not legible. The bones are layered in thick sediment, seemingly left undiscovered at the bottom of the river for some time.
But fortunately, the bodies aren’t real!
“Someone went to a lot of trouble to make sure they didn’t go floating away,” La Paz County Sheriff Lt. Curt Bagby said.
The following day, Sholl got a call from a buddy informing him that his finding had been featured on national television. Sholl said he was shocked.
“Skeleton tea party,” Sholl said. “It was funny. The next day when my friend called and told me that the chaos I created was on every morning show in the country, I was shocked.”
However, the wiped-off sign “Bernie living the dream in the river,” must be a reference to the two lead characters in the 1989 movie lugging their deceased boss around for days, misplacing and finding his body multiple times, as Bernie’s body falls from a boat and into the water at one point in the movie.
“Although the call itself was resource intensive, both the Sheriff’s Office and Buckskin Fire were happy to find that the remains weren’t real and thanked the reporting party for making the call,” the La Paz Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook along with the video.
After the incident, the skeletons became an instant tourist attraction.
