A reporter from NewsChannel 13, Mark Mulholland and his camera man Matt Soriano were threatened with arrest by a corrections lieutenant on July 24th, simply for having an “empty” prison in the background of their video footage on Grant’s Cottage—a nearby historical site where President Ulysses S. Grant died.
If this so called “empty” prison was truly “empty” then why all the hassle from the lieutenant? Furthermore the prison houses 0 prisoners, yet has 76 working officers?!

Here in Karnes City, Texas, they took ALL of the PRISONERS out( of the prison) and have it FULL of MEXICANS. I have a friend that is a medical doctor and he was contracted to check the children and he told me that there were sooooooo many he had to quit because it would take all of his time to treat them. There is also a BUS sitting there to take them to ??? The bus does not run in the day time only at night. I think they are undocumented democRATS!!!

Screaming “they’re wrong” in all caps doesn’t mean anything. There could be signs posted, as there are in every single military installation, stating that no photography is allowed. Generally these sign then state fines, the confiscation and search of your belongings, and potential jail time or any combination of those.
You can say it’s “open to the public” but unless you have been there, you have no earthly idea. Just because they were turned away doesn’t mean they were right or wrong. Get all of the facts first, which this so called article is obviously lacking as it doesn’t even have a story.
This is a very newsworthy story… it would add a huge amount of credibility if it contained the date of the incident and/or the date the article was published. I try to stay abreast of current events, but I’m obviously not capable of hearing or reading about every incident that occurs in the U.S. and world every day. I repost articles like this on my Facebook page to get the word out. I can’t tell you how many times I posted some newsworthy story only to find out it happened last year, the year before, or even longer ago. PLEASE print the date on your articles.

It is clear that based on the information provided by Lieut. Dorn (sp.?) this was an arbitrary attempt to deprive professional news media of their rights; it would be interesting to initiate a legal action to find out why? In a constitutional democracy there is accountability!

This is very old news, like years old. I don’t live far from this closed prison and after this initial visit from the local press, nothing more came from it. I am pretty sure we would have heard a lot more locally about this if there was more to it….
We need some brave strong fit young men to sleuth into this “so-called” abandoned property of the fema camp, and let us know what is up with this camp. But be very careful, their not playing, I don’t want anyone to get hurt.

FEMA detention camps for our citizens are real. And all this time folks said I was a conspiracy theorist. Know where your local camp is so that you may observe it. Also observe the movement of guards and find their homes. Take down their plate numbers. And, filming a camp is not an illegal act. a tortured guard tells much.

These are hobby cops, wannabes, driving around in their personal cars. They have no authority, they should have been arrested for blocking public roadway. I don’t think it was the State Police doing the talking here, it was Lt. Dorn, the Trooper was trying to remain neutral in the situation.
