All over the world, there are absolutely stunning places to travel for all travel types. If you love camping, there are a vast variety of mountains. If you love history, there are thousands of places around the world full of history. And if you love the beach, across every nation there are an array of beautiful sandy beaches.
I am fascinated with traveling and seeing unique places around the world. There is a unique place in Chile that offers two amazing things, a beautiful resort with beach front property and the world’s largest swimming pool. After seeing this, it is on the top of my list for places I need to go see in person. Prepare to be amazed.
Welcome to the San Alfonso del Mar, a private resort in Algarrobo, Chile that boasts the world’s most massive swimming pool.
The deep end is 135 Feet. Good luck reaching there.
The pool’s filtration system filters 66,000,000 gallons of seawater from the Pacific Ocean into the pool at any given moment.
The pool is estimated to have cost only $2 billion dollars. Yes, I said billion.
You can bring a trampoline in it to chill with your friends.
Imagine playing Marco Polo in this pool.
You can float around and relax.
You can even boat, kayak, or wind-sail through the crystal clear water.
It is the current Guinness record as the world’s largest crystalline water pool.
Their goal was to make it as if you were swimming in the Caribbean right there in Chile. I think they achieved that.
The San Alfonso del Mar boasts that it is an excellent destination spot for the holidays. And to be honest, the prices aren’t too outrageous, considering the benefits you get. I found rooms for just under $200 a night, which includes a 2 bedroom apartment. Incredible, right? Yes, it is on my bucket list. Who wants to buy me a ticket to Chile to see the world’s largest swimming pool now?
