Now, 41-year-old Oscar Novakovsky of Queens, has been sentenced to serve 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of 32-year-old Diane Sharma.
According to the police investigation, Novakovsky stabbed his wife in the neck with a knife between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., inside her residence located at 101-41 117 Street in Queens.
The stabbing occurred in the presence of their three children, ages three, five and nine. The children pleaded with their father to stop the attack and tried to pull him away from their mother.
The victim was found with a knife protruding from her neck, and she had over 150 stab wounds throughout her body.
