A Stray Dog Walked Into Their Clinic And What He Did Astounded Every Last Person….

Dogs are extremely intelligent creatures with excellent intuition. They always appear to know where to go when left on their own.

In particular, it applies to wandering dogs. These canines learn where to seek out food, shelter, and human kindness when left on their own.

That was the situation with one particular street dog that had a hurt paw and knew exactly where to go for assistance.

Brazilian veterinarian Dayse Ferreira works at a clinic in Juazerio do Norte, the vet had just finished up with another client when she got an unscheduled patient who took everyone by surprise. The staff assumed that the animal had accidentally wandered inside because they had left their door open. However, as the dog entered the clinic, the dog had no owner with him — he was a stray who just wandered off the street and limping from an injured paw.

The street dog was seen walking up to the open door and halting just past the threshold to take a look around on the video camera. The dog reluctantly gathered the confidence to enter and discreetly sat down as he slowly edged into the foyer. Then, plainly fatigued and in despair, he lay his head against the wall.

The employees hesitated, unsure of how to react, waiting to see what the dog would do. The workers were cautious not to startle the dog because he might get aggressive when they spotted that he was limping when they first arrived. However, the vet went over to examine him and see what was wrong with the poor pooch, and after learning why the animal had stumbled into her clinic, She told him to go to the exam room, and surprisingly, he listened.

“When he came in, he put the injured paw forward, as if to say hello and to show that he was hurting, We were surprised because he knew where to ask for help,” Ferreira said.

In addition to the hurt paw, the dog was visibly sick. Dr. Ferreira decided to take the dog in for an examination. They found out he had a transmissible venereal tumor, a tiny growth on his paw that was the result of an ingrown toenail which is a very common disease in stray dogs. Fortunately, it was treatable. Ferreira delicately removed the tumor and treated him for a flea and tick infestation, and administered some antibiotics after giving the dog a wash.

“Happiness in the eyes of those who know they are being well taken care of, he showed me a paw with an ingrown toenail in the cushion, causing a lot of pain which, after being cut and medicated, doesn’t feel pain anymore,” Ferreira wrote.

She gave the dog the name “Quindim” after the popular Brazilian dessert because of his sweet demeanor. Ferreira was astounded by the dog’s speedy recovery and his complete faith in her and her colleagues.

She said, “He doesn’t even look sick. He just is so excited to be around people who care about him. The most admirable thing is that he came on his own. His intelligence is beautiful. I’m sure he will find a home that will welcome him and receive him with all the love he deserves.”

Quindim began getting a lot of adoption requests as his story gained popularity. It appears that this dog’s days of surviving on his own and counting on the generosity of strangers may soon be coming to an end.

It sounds like a happy ending is in sight for this smart dog.
