All My Life, I Had NO IDEA The LITTLE POCKET ON JEANS Was MEANT TO BE USED For THIS … MIND BLOWN!

VIA| Are you wearing a pair of jeans right now? If not go to your closet. Then take a close look at the pockets. Do you notice that small little one residing inside of your bigger front pocket? ever wonder what it’s for?

For more than a hundred years, jeans were a relatively obscure piece of clothing that workers like miners only wore.

But in the 1950s, blue jeans exploded into popularity when James Dean wore them in Rebel Without A Cause.

Today you’ll see people wearing jeans from all walks of life in all cities on the planet. But while they come in all types of styles – skinny, regular, slim, boot-cut – jeans all have one thing in common.

There’s a little extra pocket that’s just a bit too small to really hold anything useful.

So why do these little pockets exist?

Well when Levi first created the modern-day jeans, no one had wristwatches. If you wanted to know the time, you had a little watch that went into one of your pockets – hence the pocket watch.

The small pocket on jeans was for people to have a safe place to store their pocket watch.

But in our modern culture, practically no one uses pocket watches anymore. It’s a mystery why they’re still being manufactured with the “pocket watch” slot.

While these pockets might not be as useful, here are some ideas of what you could put in your mini-pocket

  • Flash drive
  • Candy
  • Lighter
  • Key
  • Money
  • Business card
  • Small pocket knife
