CNN’s Jim Acosta Has Just Been Smacked Down Hard By Karma….

Jim Acosta of CNN looks to be the most recent journalist whose Twitter accounts have been blocked as a result of a flurry of adjustments managed by CEO Elon Musk.

Acosta said that his Twitter account was closed overnight after he promoted his accounts on other social media networks, such as Post and Mastodon, in an interview with Insider journalist Linette Lopez, whose Twitter account has been suspended.

“One of my tweets was found to have violated Twitter’s new rule about promoting other sites,” he said, adding later that he is “still trying to sort it out.”

Acosta, who gained notoriety under the previous administration by sparring with then-President Donald Trump, was making reference to a new regulation that was implemented when users published links to their accounts on other social media platforms during a trying period for Twitter under Musk’s leadership.

“We recognize that many of our users are active on other social media platforms. However, we will no longer allow free promotion of certain social media platforms on Twitter,” Twitter Support said Sunday.

“Specifically, we will remove accounts created solely for the purpose of promoting other social platforms and content that contains links or usernames for the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr and Post,” the account added.

The modification in Acosta’s Twitter user name to “Jim Acosta is also on Post and Mastodon” elevates the promotion of other social media platforms.

Last week’s policy changes also prohibited users from posting or sharing links to real-time location data. Several journalists were suspended during that crackdown, among others.

Donie O’Sullivan, a CNN reporter, was one of them. He was reinstated along with the others when Musk held a public poll, but he said on Saturday that he was not permitted to tweet again unless he deleted a tweet regarding an account that tracked Musk’s private jet. According to CNN, based on the justification provided for the suspensions, the company will “reevaluate” its partnership with Twitter.

In my opinion, I think that doxxing people on social media should have stiff consequences.

The media has made anyone that has a differing opinion from the leftist agenda to be considered a “nazi-like” offense. People have been severely injured for just wearing a Trump hat in public.

In fact, a teenager in Montana lost his life a few months back for supporting Trump.

So, it is incredibly dangerous to dox people in real life when the media has been fanning the flames of division for years.

The concept of free speech is that the government cannot interfere in your expression, but that does not mean privately owned companies cannot ban users.

If Elon is not banning people on the whim of government entities then I see nothing wrong with it.
