Perhaps not surprisingly, a Dallas prekindergarten teacher who was arrested ten years ago on sexual assault charges of two children, is now the focus of a new investigation in which he is charged with sexual assault of at least one student when he worked at Arthur Kramer Elementary School in Dallas.
Jorge Ruiz, 53, is being charged with sexual assault of a minor on at least three occasions for molesting a first-grader in 2006.
The now 16-year-old girl tells investigators that when she was 7-years-old, she was ill-prepared to tell her mom what happened, so years later she expressed it to a therapist. According to Jesse Gonzales of the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, it is quite common for these memories to be suppressed in children.

Jesse has interviewed almost 5,000 girls and boys, and finds that many will not speak of these incidents until they are old enough to verbalize what happened to them.
One little girl was sexually assaulted on multiple occasions by Ruiz during fall of 2006 and summer of 2007. The affidavit says he was the hers first-grade teacher. However, Ruiz is also charged with sexually assaulting another child during the same time period.
Ruiz is now sitting in the Dallas County Jail awaiting arraignment.
