Everyone At The Church Was Stunned When She Stripped Down And Started Screaming…
Pro-abortion activists disrupted Joel Osteen‘s sermon at the televangelist’s Lakewood Church in Houston on Sunday, stripping down to their undergarments and shouting expletives and pro-abortion slogans before they were escorted out of the building.
On Sunday (5 June), Osteen had just concluded his leading prayer at his Texas megachurch and the congregants began to take their seats.
But not too long after, a woman swiftly got up, pulled off her dress, and shouted, “It’s my body, my f***ing choice,” as evidenced in Twitter videos.
Soon after that, a second woman stood up, removed her dress, and shouted, “Overturn Roe, hell no,” followed by a third woman who also stripped and repeated the same chants.
The activists can be seen wearing white sports bras with green handprints on the front and waving green bandanas as security guards escorted them out of the building to applause from churchgoers.
The color green represents the pro-choice movement.
The activists were wearing pink underwear. Their breasts were covered with green handprints, and there appeared to be fake blood between their legs. These women meant business and wanted everyone at the popular church to know that abortion rights would not be taken away from women without a fight.
The activists are members of Austin-based Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights. The organization posted a video of the moment on Twitter and TikTok, where the footage has garnered thousands of views.
As the activists were escorted out of the service, the audience applauded and Osteen continued his sermon. Once outside, the activists continued their protest alongside more fellow members, holding up green banners that read “Forced motherhood is female enslavement” and “Abortion on demand & without apology.”
Despite the church audience’s reaction, the group received support online following the demonstration. On TikTok, one user commented “It takes so much courage to [do] that. Thank you.” Another user wrote, “go get them ladies.”
Osteen has not spoken publicly about the incident. Lakewood Church did not immediately respond to a request for comment at the time of this writing.
“Joel Osteen has an international audience and silence is violence when it comes to things like these,” D’Eredita told KPRC 2. “We have a very unprecedented and very short amount of time to garner the attention that we need to get millions of people on the streets, millions of people doing actions like we were today.”
