Like a lot of people, I will admit that I have struggled with my weight.
For most of my life, I ended up somewhere in the 160-180 range. Then about eight years ago, almost right at the same age as what happened to my grandfather, I ballooned up to around two hundred and fifty pounds.
It wasn’t anything that I did in particular. It’s just that some people gain weight almost out of nowhere.
Combined with one or two bad habits at it pertained to diet, I can see why my heft jumped up the way it did.
Anway, working remotely most of the day caused me to lead a very sedentary lifestyle where I didn’t have a whole lot of moving around that I could do as far as exercise went.
That doesn’t mean that I didn’t have things that I tried in order to lose weight.
For example, after a doctor’s visit one time, I made the decision to stop drinking anything that had sugar in it.
Sodas, tea, coffee, pretty much everything. Within a year I was down about twenty pounds from just doing that one thing.
There is another great method for weight loss that I just heard about from a woman named Dils Lee.
An Australian woman, she had said that she always struggled a little with controlling her weight.
The way that she managed to drop fifty pounds is genius in its simplicity.
Usually, when it came time for her to visit with friends for coffee, she would drive as most people do.
However, at the behest of a friend one day, they decided to walk to the coffee shop instead of driving.
It wasn’t exactly a marathon distance, but the trip was long enough for you to know that you were doing something.
That one little change to her lifestyle, walking that little bit a day, every day, allowed her to lose approximately fifty pounds in the span of six months.
Now, she did have to make some small dietary changes. But as we all know, if you make enough small changes they end up adding up to one massive change.
I would have to say that losing fifty pounds inside of six months is a pretty awesome accomplishment.
