Little AOC Just Lost One Of Her Biggest Supporters!
Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon protested outside Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s office in New York, saying she was “losing hope” in the Democrat’s leadership.
The demonstration billed as a gathering in favor of Medicare for All, took place outside the congresswoman’s office in Bronx, New York, on Monday. Sarandon railed against all members of “the Squad,” an ultra-liberal wing of the Democratic caucus in the House, calling out Ocasio-Cortez by name.
“I’m here to say to the Squad, and especially AOC, who, you know, did make a lot of promises, that we still have faith in you and we would like to see if you have a better plan than we’ve been able to see, please share it,” Ms. Sarandon told the assembled crowd using a megaphone.
The event was advertised as a Medicare for All rally. “If there’s a pathway you’ve got that we’re not aware of please share it. Because we’re losing hope here that you represent us.”
She added, “It’s so difficult for people that are independent to get elected in the first place — and then to see the very people that sponsored the bill not stand up for it, is very disheartening.”
Sarandon also showed her support for Alabama coal miners who’ve been on strike for months now, demanding better wages and working environments.

Actress and activist Susan Sarandon was in New York City this morning showing support for coal miners striking against Alabama’s Warrior Met Coal.
Sarandon took part in a demonstration with union members in Manhattan. Members and allies from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, as well as New York, we’re planning to picket the Manhattan offices of BlackRock, an investment management corporation that is the world’s largest asset manager.

The protesters also demanded that Ms. Ocasio-Cortez “use every legislative tool available to pass Medicare for all in Congress”, that she uses her “huge social media followings, ability to get press, and celebrity to organize direct actions for Medicare for all”, and that she meet with her constituents and organizers to put together “a fearless new campaign for single-payer”.
“So many of these progressive candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ran on being activists fighting for change. It’s time for them to leverage that power to help call on the people to come out and pressure Congress to do the right thing for once,” the event organizers write.
“You campaigned on Medicare for All. But you didn’t demand a floor vote on it when you had the power to leverage the Speaker vote. You didn’t demand that single-payer be included in the pandemic recovery bill,” their petition adds.
“You moved the introduction of the House bill till after the stimulus bill passed reducing your leverage. You have never demanded that Biden use Section 1881A of the Social Security Act to expand Medicare to every American by executive action.”
The left is fracturing on so many levels – from Joe Biden’s inability to be “radical enough” for the kooks to his penchant for being too “radical” for the establishment – the foundation is crumbling.
The right is fracturing too, but it’s a much better situation. The majority of the Republicans support Trump and his leadership and that group is now going after the globalist RINOs and weak status quo politicians who refuse to get in the cage and fight.
