She Hit A Cop With Her Car, And They Were Forced To Give Her A Million Dollars..

If there is one thing that I hate, it is when people try to use their position to get special treatment.

If there are two things that I hate, the second one would be when someone thinks that they are better than someone because of their occupation. The notion that anyone is “above” anyone is something that just bothers me to no end.

Everybody deserves respect as long as they are giving respect back. Take the police for instance, those men and women have a damn hard job that they deserve respect for. Doesn’t mean they are better than anyone else, just that they deserve respect within the context of their job.

Think of the last time that you might have been pulled over by a cop. You get pulled over, you let the cop do their thing, you leave with no real lasting problems.

You interrupt that job in getting from the beginning and the end of that process by being a complete and total moron, you should get what you should get.

What you shouldn’t get is rewarded.

Take for example the case of Rachel Wellner out of (surprise, surprise) the liberal bastion of New York City.

Recently, this cancer surgeon had to run into a pharmacy and decided that she wasn’t going to park her car like the rest of us simple folk and parked illegally in a crosswalk. You know, the thing that people walk across the street in.

A cop noticed this and started writing here a ticket.

Well, this is where the “VIP Syndrome” kicked in and she started telling the cop that she was more important than the cop and all the typical stuff that cops have to hear on a daily basis.

When the cops had finally had enough and attempted to arrest her, she got in her car and started to drive off.

Her car struck the cop on the leg, and was charged with resisting arrest among other charges.

She ended up pleading out and got a sweetheart deal of a sentence that led to no jail time. Then she sued the police department for excessive force as part of the arrest and they had to fork over a shade over a million dollars to her.

It’s pretty sickening to think that we live in a world where you can hit a cop with your car while resisting arrest and get paid to do it.
