Bride-to-be Casme had always dreamed of marrying the love of her life, Gary Carter. However, with only three months to plan their dream wedding, the pair encountered numerous roadblocks, including the theft of Casme’s wedding dress and the loss of her engagement ring in the ocean during her bachelorette party. Despite the challenges, the wedding was a huge success, with a unique twist that made it stand out from the rest.
Casme, a professional singer and entertainer, had traveled across the United States performing for various audiences, establishing many strong friendships along the way. With so many wonderful women in her life, Casme found it difficult to choose who to invite as bridesmaids. While the norm is to choose four or five bridesmaids, Casme wanted to include everyone she had always loved, including her six biological sisters. In the end, she had an incredible thirty-four bridesmaids at her wedding party.
“Sometimes choosing bridesmaids can feel like you’re the captain of the kickball team looking at a crowd of eligible players, trying to choose the top 5 or 10 for your team,” wrote Jen Glantz and Elizabeth Mitchell in an article on Brides.
Casme knew she couldn’t narrow down her list, so she decided to go against tradition and include everyone she cherished. Though it may sound like an overwhelming number of bridesmaids, Casme could have included even more women, but she wanted to keep it less overwhelming for her groom.
“I have so many women in my life who mean so much to me,” Casme told Inside Edition.
Hundreds of people were fascinated with Casme’s wedding party of thirty-four bridesmaids, and they commented on the video from Inside Edition.
“It’s always great to have your family members and best friends, to always have your back in your weddings, as Your Best Men and Bridesmaids!” said one commenter.
“Beautiful people will always have beautiful people around them!” added another.
Casme’s unique wedding party was a beautiful testament to the strong friendships she had established throughout her life. She proved that there are no hard and fast rules for a wedding, and the most important thing is to do what makes you happy on that special day.
