Just when you think that California can not get any worse, the leaders in the ultra-left wing state go one step further.
The state has been one of the strictest states over the last two years concerning the COVID pandemic, which has financially strapped hard-working Americans.
The recent tax hikes are not helping California residents, coupled with the nation’s soaring inflation and gas prices.
Now, it is getting worse as Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and LADWP announced new water restrictions amid a worsening drought on Tuesday.
Last summer, Gavin Newsom begged Californian residents to use 15% less water, but people ignored his pleas and did just as they wanted.
Good for them.
This is now most likely why Democrat Garcetti is imposing new water restrictions on 4 million residents since Californians didn’t voluntarily cut water use.
Outdoor watering will be restricted to 2 days a week, and water sprinklers will be limited to 8 minutes per station starting June 1.
Below are instructions from LADWP:
Violators will be heavily fined.
LADWP asks residents to voluntarily use seven fewer gallons of water a day or reduce showering time by 4 minutes.
More from ABC 7:
Other parts of Southern California have more severe water restrictions in place.
Last month the Metropolitan Water District’s board declared a water shortage emergency and ordered SoCal residents to restrict outdoor watering to one day a week.
The restrictions will go into effect on June 1.
Cities and water suppliers that get their water from the agency will face hefty fines if they don’t comply and exceed monthly water limits.
