They were determined and were busting down the door, but they got hit with a tremendous dose of Karma when they were inside!
Ask any homeowner, and they will tell you that the threat of a home invasion is of grave concern to them. Many of these homeowners have taken all kinds of precautions to make sure that their home security system is as up-to-date as possible. However, even the best security system can fail, and that is why it was a good thing that one Arizona resident had a solid backup plan.
Surveillance footage from a Phoenix-area homeowner has now gone viral after it had been shared across social media. AZFamily reported that the incident had been recorded at just about 3:40 a.m. when a group of thugs approached a house near 36th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road with the intention of ransacking the place and maybe even worse.
This video had captured two masked crooks who were walking up to the residence and inspecting the porch. The first assailant is looking around and that is when he spots the monitoring system, but he merely covers it with his hand for a few seconds. The pair take a stance to get ready to break down the door and two accomplices join them just a couple of feet from him on the lawn.
The first two men work together to combine their strength and kick open the door. It only takes an instant for the thugs to rush the opening, thinking they are home free (no pun intended). However, they soon realized that the door was locked not for the homeowner’s protection, but for theirs.
Before these thugs can even get inside, the trails from the rounds of a firearm whizz through that opening. These criminals decide to tuck tail and make a break for their getaway car, humiliated, empty-handed, and afraid for their lives. Several of them stumble across the road, scrambling into a gray sedan and speeding off.
Police were quick to confirm that the homeowner was initially alerted to the movement outside due to his monitoring system. He looked at the notification, and to his shock, he saw the four men just outside his home. Even though he had just seconds before the men broke through his door, he managed to get his firearm out and have that nasty welcome for the thugs entering his home.
It is unclear how many times the homeowner discharged his weapon or if he shot any of the intruders before they got away. Police uploaded the surveillance video in the hope that someone with information regarding the criminals’ identities would come forward. There was no word on the physical conditions of the failed robbers.
It wasn’t clear just how many times the homeowner discharged his weapon before the intruders attempted to get into his home. It also wasn’t clear what the physical condition of any of the would-be robbers was either. Police uploaded the video in the hope that those with information would possibly come forward.
It just goes to show you that even in an unfair matchup of four thugs against only one homeowner, the man with the gun prevailed. The only way to stop the bad guys with guns is with a good guy with a gun. Simple as that.
