In what a catastrophic plane crash was caught on video in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The small aircraft fell from the sky and directly hit an SUV the boy was riding in with his mom, Megan Bishop.
Even more disturbing is the fact that the fatal collision was recorded on camera by a home’s doorbell surveillance system. Taylor Bishop, 4, has been named as one of the three fatalities in the event by the Broward County Medical Examiner, according to WSVN.
The youngster died from his injuries at a nearby hospital, the publication added, the boy was reportedly sitting in an SUV with his mother, Megan Bishop, when the plane hit their vehicle.
The deadly collision happened just before 3 p.m. the Federal Aviation Administration reports that the incident occurred shortly after a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft departed from the North Perry Airport.
The plane crashed into the city from an airport that is roughly 20 miles north of downtown Miami. The authorities said the collision happened in a residential area, therefore the damage was more than anticipated.
At the scene, two passengers were identified as dead.
“Anytime anybody dies, it’s a tragedy that’s horrible, When you have a child that dies, it’s unimaginable, and our prayers are going out to the family of the child,” said Broward County Mayor Steve Geller.
The crash was captured by a resident on their doorbell camera. Before igniting and causing the entire residential street to catch fire, the plane skidded down the road that the shows in the video, as the plane is shown falling from the sky only to crash into a car as it drives along the road.
Discussing the incident with NBC Miami, describing what it was like to witness the plane crash onto the road and burst into a horrific conflagration, Annabelle Fernandez, a local resident, was present when the plane crashed into the neighborhood, she said that “We heard a tremendous noise, and we went out, and everybody was on fire, everything was bad, it got to the car. It was a mother with her kid, and we don’t know what happened to them. The fire rescue came, and they got them.”
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board said that they will be looking into the crash to determine what might have caused it after it occurred.
Anna Fusco, president of the Broward Teachers Union, told the Miami Herald about the boy’s mother, who was also going by the name Ki Ki saying, “Taylor was just her little compadre, they were two peas in a pod. Every kid in the school is going to be upset that Ki Ki is going to be away for a while. She just lit it up.”
