There has been much talk recently among Democrats about how much of a threat to America the Vladimir Putin-led Russia has become, a rather ironic turn of events considering their mockingly condescending dismissal of Putin and Russia as a threat during the 2012 election season.
Unfortunately, there is no time to laugh at the Democrats’ about-face, as their flawed foreign policies have given rise to a resurgent Russia, and tensions between Russia and the U.S. have returned nearly to Cold War levels.
According to WND, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump recently addressed the rising tensions during an interview with conservative talk radio host Michael Savage.
Trump essentially stated that he would waste no time attempting to bridge the widening gap created between the U.S. and Russia by President Barack Obama’s failed policies, even suggesting he would get started before his own inauguration, should he win the election on Nov. 8.
“The problem is Putin has no respect for Obama at all,” Trump told Savage. “You have potentially a really catastrophic situation here. I’ll be honest with you.”
“If I win on Nov. 8, I could see myself meeting with Putin and meeting with Russia prior to the start of the administration,” Trump said
Trump has previously blamed the worsening relations with Russia on the policies of Obama and former Secretary of State/Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and made clear that he will pursue a different path with Russia from the confrontational one seemingly preferred by Clinton these days.
Of course this latest pronouncement from Trump will likely be taken out of context by Democrats in the media and Clinton’s campaign as further evidence supporting their ludicrous accusation that Trump is somehow working with Putin’s Russia to the detriment of the U.S.
However, those with common sense would be correct in presuming that perhaps it is better to try to have friendly relations with a strong rival that maintains the ability to destroy us all in mere moments, rather than be deliberately provocative and confrontational.
Please share this on Facebook and Twitter to help spread the word that Donald Trump said he will immediately meet with and set about improving relations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, if he wins the election.
Hurray yes good move ASAP good relationship with Putin is best move ever
