We know the sham Jan.6 committee is a complete joke, adding more clowns to the witness stand completes the comedy show.
I don’t know if this is a disaster for Cassidy Hutchinson’s credibility. But, assuming these reports are accurate, it’s a disaster for the January 6 committee.
Two Secret Service agents are reportedly willing to testify before Congress that then-President Trump did not lunge at a steering wheel or assault them in an attempt to go to the Capitol during the riot on January 6, 2021 contrary to what Hutchinson has been claiming.
Hutchinson claims Trump said something along the lines of “I’m the f***ing president, take me up to the Capitol now.” When his request was denied, Hutchinson claims Ornato told her Trump reached for the steering wheel, forcing Engel to grab the president and hold him back.
Despite the legacy media breathlessly reporting Hutchinson’s claims without much skepticism, the term ‘Amber Heard 2.0’ subsequently trended on Twitter as Hutchinson’s assertions were demolished.
Within hours, Peter Alexander of NBC News revealed that Engel was prepared to testify “under oath that neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.”

Trump responded to Hutchingson’s claims and stated:
“Her fake story that I tried to grab the steering wheel of the White House limousine in order to steer it to the Capitol is “sick” and fraudulent, very much like the Unselect Committee itself – Wouldn’t have even been possible to do such a ridiculous thing.”

Here’s what The Daily Mail reported:
‘I’m the effing president, take me to the Capitol now,’ she said he ordered.
When Secret Service refused, Hutchinson said agents told her that he lunged at the steering wheel of his car – known as The Beast.
‘Sir, you need to take your hand off the steering wheel. We’re going back to the West Wing, we’re not going to the Capitol,’ Hutchinson was told Secret Service agent Robert Engel said.
‘Mr. Trump then used his free hand to lunge towards Bobby Engel,’ Hutchinson recalled.
Former Deputy Chief of Staff Tony Ornato ‘motioned toward his clavicle,’ she added, as a sign the president went for his security detail’s throat.
Trump denied Hutchinson’s testimony in a statement on his social media platform, Truth Social.

More details shared by The New York Post:
Cassidy Hutchinson went from obscure former White House aide to one of the star witnesses of the Jan. 6 hearings by dropping bombshell allegations during Tuesday testimony about the behavior of President Donald Trump during the day his supporters stormed the Capitol.
Before she became a household name, though, she burst into tears of joy when she landed an internship in the White House during Trump’s presidency.
But there was a falling out between Hutchinson and Meadows in 2021, a former White House aide told CNN. She was supposed to become permanent staff at Mar-a-Lago, but those plans fell through, the outlet reported.
Engel and an unnamed Secret Service agent, reportedly the driver of the SUV, are prepared to testify before the Jan. 6 committee that Trump didn’t lunge at the steering wheel.
According to Fox News, the Secret Service and the Jan. 6 committee are in discussions about whether one or both men will appear on camera.
