Trump Removes Steve Bannon from National Security Council Post

According to breaking sources, President Donald Trump has been making moved to reorganize his National Security Council.

The President signed an executive order to remove chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, and also downgrading the role of his Homeland Security Adviser, Tom Bossert.

At the beginning of Trump’s presidency, Steve Bannon was elevated to the National Security Council’s principals committee; a decision that immediately drew criticism from Americans as well as some members of Congress and Washington’s foreign policy establishment.

A White House official stated that Bannon was “placed on the committee in part to monitor Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn,” and never attended a meeting.

Trump fired Flynn back on February for not disclosing the extent of his conversations with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak, before The President’s inauguration.
