What Whoopi Goldberg Is Now Doing Behind The Scenes Is Absolutely HATEFUL!
After her two weeks suspension, Whoopi Goldberg is back on “The View” but this time instead of being embarrassed that she was sent to a two weeks suspension by her network, she even returned to work with a big grin on her face.
The comedian came under fire for saying the Holocaust was “not about race,” because she said that the Nazis and the Jews were both white. She claimed that “man’s inhumanity to man” was the real cause of what happened. Goldberg tweeted an apology, but then she seemed to double down on her statements during an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s show. This made her network ABC suspend her because of the mounting pressure from the public.
The ABC News president Kim Godwin said in a statement “Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments. While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments. The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, and communities.”
Now after her two weeks suspension, one source told the New York Post that Goldberg is feeling better than ever now because ratings for the daytime talk show dropped in her absence.
The insider source added that “She’s strutting around the place, she’s peacocking.”
According to the publication report during the full week Goldberg was not allowed on “The View,” the panel-style talk show dropped 283,000 viewers, resulting in a season-low for total viewers in key demographics.
In Goldberg’s first week back, “The View” added 113,000 viewers week-to-week — or 2.3 million viewers, which marked the biggest week-to-week gain for any daytime broadcast series. It wasn’t enough to get viewership back to pre-suspension levels, but it was still a big boost for network bigs to notice.
“With Whoopi out from the show on suspension, the ratings dropped to the lowest in total viewers and key demos of the season,” an insider explained. “At the end of the day, TV is a business. The only thing that really matters is ratings.”
“Whoopi is untouchable,” they concluded. “She’s the queen bee.”
This only shows that Whoopi’s suspension proved the ratings depend on her, it will take even more egregious comments for her to be fired for good.
