Woman In SHOCK After Watching What BAGGER DID To Man In Wheelchair In Grocery Store

Young people have a bad reputation for being too caught up in their own world to care about anyone else, but one Georgia woman was shocked when she witnessed a grocery store bagger’s encounter with a man in a wheelchair.

Jennifer Christopher Coker said that she was shopping at Publix in Tifton, when she heard the disabled man ask for the bagger’s help while shopping.

The wheelchair-bound man asked the bagger, identified only as Roger, if he would help him gather his groceries because he was afraid of how long it would take him by himself in the wheelchair, according to WAGAin Atlanta.

Without hesitation or a grimaced look on his face for being asked to deviate from his job description, Roger lit up with a smile and said that it would be his pleasure to help.

The young employee patiently walked through each aisle, crossing each item off the man’s shopping list as he grabbed it, apparently with no concern about how long it was taking.

“There was no agitation in his tone for being interrupted. There was no rush to his walk to make the man feel like he was a burden,” Coker wrote about the incident in a viral Facebook post last year that is still being shared today.

The woman said she had tears in her eyes as she watched the two make their way through the store. She thought about how pleased she was to see a young man who had clearly been raised properly.

Here’s the original post from a year ago:

“It is so rare to see such a young person have such respect for his elders. I had tears knowing that the elderly gentleman was probably happy to have someone help him AND to listen to him,” Coker wrote, with gratitude for the young bagger.
