Dr. Pimple Popper’s show on TLC, the doctor, whose real name is Dr. Sandra Lee, welcomes in a handful of patients, each with different problems.
After popping her way through a bunch of messy cysts and satisfying blackheads, dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, has her sights set on a huge lump.
Dr. Lee was visited by a patient named Victor, 37, who had been living with the growth for years and had even nicknamed it “Larry the Lump”.
On seeing the hard mass, Dr. Lee assumed it was a benign tumor, however, she was shocked to discover it was actually a cyst filled with oozing black gunk.
Laying back on the operating table, Dr. Lee sliced open the lump, which protruded from between Victor’s pecs. She explained:
“I’m giving Victor a splash mask because you never know how a cyst will act. I’ve had cysts squirt and hit me close to my eye. If I had my mouth open, maybe they hit me in the mouth. That’s why I wear splash masks now. That’s why I should’ve invested back in splash masks back in the day, because I’m going through them like candy.”
After she sliced it open, Dr. Lee squeezed gently and saw black pus erupt from it, saying: “There is like mud.”
TV audiences and social media users have been freaking out about the black gunk that oozed out of Victor’s chest ever since. One Twitter user said, “I usually can watch Dr. Pimple Popper without a problem, but ‘Larry the Lump’ totally gagged me! When Dr. Lee squeezed the cyst, it looked like dog poop! Gross! I had to fast forward.” And she was not alone.
Dr. Lee then yanked the cyst sack out of Victor’s chest before sewing the hole closed, leaving a flat surface.
She said: “One thing I was worried about this pop, is I was worried there was going to be an odor. But, as you can see, it’s not too bad. We’re not smelling it.”
