Is Joe Biden Secretly Trying To Land Donald Trump In Jail…

Attorney General Merrick Garland has come under pressure to expedite and broaden the scope of his investigation into the Capitol uprising to include President Trump and his close aides. Some of that pressure, according to The New York Times, is coming from within the (White) House.

And who is that? Joe Biden himself.

Biden reportedly believes that former President Donald Trump should be prosecuted for crimes related to the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

He has gone so far as to express dissatisfaction with Attorney General Merrick Garland’s inquiry into the violence, saying that it is moving too slowly and that Trump has not yet been charged.

Imagine this scenario where Biden summons Attorney General Merrick Garland to the White House and tells him, “My son Hunter did nothing wrong, and Donald Trump should be prosecuted for his role in the Capitol riot on January 6.”

“As recently as late last year, Mr. Biden confided to his inner circle that he believed former President Donald J. Trump was a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted, according to two people familiar with his comments,” The New York Times reported.

Although, Joe Biden is not permitted to discuss his thoughts with the ever-corrupt Attorney General Merrick Garland, as the New York Times wrote: “And while the president has never communicated his frustrations directly to Mr. Garland, he has said privately that he wanted Mr. Garland to act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor who is willing to take decisive action over the events on January 6.”

However, I wouldn’t believe for a second that Biden hasn’t actually expressed his frustrations directly to AG Merrick Garland.

Leaks don’t just occur randomly, especially when they aren’t clearly designed to hurt the person they portend to quote. In this case, Biden and his handlers obviously want this message to get to Garland — otherwise, this never makes it to print.

Biden and Garland may claim that they never spoke about either case, but Garland knows what his boss wants.

Here’s what The New York Times reported:

The Jan. 6 investigation is a test not just for Garland, but for Biden as well. Both men came into office promising to restore the independence and reputation of a Justice Department that Trump had tried to weaponize for political gain.

For Biden, keeping that promise means inviting the ire of supporters who say they will hold the president to the remarks he made on the anniversary of the assault on the Capitol, when he vowed to make sure “the past isn’t buried” and said that the people who planned the siege “held a dagger at the throat of America.”

Justice Department officials do not keep the president abreast of any investigation, including those involving his children, several people familiar with the situation said. The cases involving Hunter Biden and Ashley Biden are worked on by career officials, and people close to the president, including White House counsel Dana Remus, have no visibility into them, those people said.

The Justice Department has given no public indication about its timeline or whether prosecutors might be considering a case against Trump.

The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack can send criminal referrals to the Justice Department, but only the department can bring charges. The panel is working with a sense of urgency to build its case before this year’s midterm elections, when Republicans could retake the House and dissolve the committee.

Well, whatever the case, Biden is basically trying to use his position to bring charges against his political rival. That is the worst sin a president can do. Unfortunately, Democrats are exempt from the rules.

Regarding Trump, the ongoing investigations, particularly those based on criminal charges, will only make him more powerful by 2024. Although it’s a dumb play, we’re talking about Joe Biden here.
