NFL Hero SHAMES Anthem-Haters on Sideline When He Walks on Field With Incredible Item

There has been much discussion over the past several weeks regarding NFL players and other athletes sitting down or taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem as a form of protest against a variety of social issues in America.

Less spoken of have been the players who have staunchly remained standing, or those who risked fines from the league to wear special cleats signifying their patriotism on Sept. 11, the opening weekend of the NFL season and 15th anniversary of the horrific terrorist attack in 2001 that changed the course of history.

According to the Independent Journal, one of those players who chose to prominently display his feelings of patriotism and solemn remembrance of the 9/11 attack was Buffalo Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander.

According to the Independent Journal, one of those players who chose to prominently display his feelings of patriotism and solemn remembrance of the 9/11 attack was Buffalo Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander.

After warm-ups were finished and it came time for the playing of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” Alexander removed the firefighter’s helmet and joined the rest of his teammates along the sideline, where they all stood together in honor of the anthem, the American flag, and all that they represent.

Let it be noted that all of the Bills players stood for the anthem, a show of solidarity that was also displayed by several other teams that day.

Though in the grand scheme of things, this was a rather small gesture, though it most likely had a huge impact on Alexander’s fans, his firefighter friend and all heroic first responders who put their lives on the live to save others in times of tragedy.

Please share this on Facebook and Twitter so that everyone can see the patriotic gesture made by Buffalo Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander on the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
